Hi all, I just want to inform you about our last Sundays action.
The foundation stone for the last Sunday actually has been laid on Saturday night when we went to a pub/dance bar in Dublin. We had some drinks and were very happy. Suddenly someone came up with the splendid idea to have a breakfast at Udo's place next morning (Udo, also known as Ute, is a very close friend of mine since about 10 years). Of course every one of us liked the idea immediately and so the deal was perfect.
Next morning we met us at Udo's place as agreed upon. Her house is not what we Germans would call ‘BIG’ but therefor so much cosier. And this was our breakfast: We had fresh french baguette with soft cheese, irish cheddar cheese and/or marmelade, fried eggs with salt 'n' pepper and best of all baked bacon. But no breakfast without at least one healthy item: we had to choose between apples and drinkable yoghurt. First we were like 5 people in the kitchen, but later on more and more people came to Udo's place, not to have breakfast but more to visit her. In the end the number of people turned out to 10.
As the weather was like shit that day we could not do any good outside and spent the whole time more or less in the kitchen. When the afternoon went by the majority of the people became hungry again. No wonder why, we talked a lot about all the very important things of this world and that makes hungry. No problem for King Kreissler. Quickly I decided to go to the next supermarket around the corner. I bought some eggs, milk, flour and sugar to prepare a meal everybody likes. Attention, I am not talking about pasta :-) The meal I was going to cook next were man-made pancakes. As I could not find any apple puree in the shop my German girls gave me the advise to put small apple pieces in the pancake dough. As a result we got the best pancakes in the history of human being (You don’t believe it? - Remember there are 10 people, me included, who can appear as a witness!).
Well, that was our ‘last Sunday’. And because it was so good, so easy going and so delicious, we decided to have our next 'Breakfast at Udo's' next Sunday. Yummy, yummy, yummy.
