This picture does not have colors, just black and white and loads of grey. But maybe that is the reason why I like it so much. Donīt know really what else I can comment here.
Cuzco, once the capitol of the glorious Inka empire. Today it is probably one of the most beautiful cities in Peru.
Iīm afraid, but this is not the boat the Kelly family lives on:-(
On the contrary this is the international harbour of Puerto Bermudez, the place where we get our bananas from.
Again, a picture with local people posing. This time the people do not live in the Andes region but in a tiny village surrounded by the huge rain forest.
This is the car that brought me deep into the jungle of Peru.
But to get deep into the jungle I had to sit and stand about 10 hours on the back of the pick-up, together with all the other 14 or so native people.
With this picture I want to say THANK YOU to Gobin, Shoel and Miguel for the tour with the bycicles to the Lago de Junin.
Also, you can see me laugh which is because I am quite happy as I just changed my cap with the cap of the guy waering the orange sweater.
This picture is one of my favourites. It reminds me of the Inka ruins of Huanuco Pampa. On that very day (or probably in the whole week) I was the siteīs only visitor.
This indigenous girl lives in the Andean region near Laguna Quilotoa. She helped me finding the right way around the crater to the next village when I got almost lost.
This is our campsite near the Laguna Shimbe. One of the many places where we did some camping during the trip with the horses.
... but footprints!
I took this photograph while walking on/to the Pastoruri Glacier in the Cordillera Blanca.
The photo reminds me of a slogan used by a nearby national park. The slogan goes like this:
Take nothing but pictures.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Kill nothing but time and mosquitos.
Another normal scene during the horse trip, in a place called Tuluce, somewhere in the sierra, far away from any kind of european lifestyle.
When we entered the little shop to buy food the indigenous people immediately followed us in order to watch every single movement we did. We even had problems to leave the shop, without pushing the people aside.

This is my final version of my travel route. Since last thursday (31st of March) I am back in Germany. Not for long - I am moving on to Italy this Saturday (9th of April).
During the time I stayed in Germany I got my pictures developed (alltogether about 500!!). Some of them are really good; so good that I want to show and explain them to you.
In case you have some spare time which needs to be filled please feel free to watch all the pics I have taken on www.fotos.web.de/kreissler. Click on the folder "South America" and you will find 26 other folders in alphabetical (and at the same time in chronoplogical) order.
